Import HESA Verifiers

HESA verifiers files are available from HESA and can be imported into ebs.

HESA input file format

HESA files are available from the HESA website, with the file format - CRECIDFILETYPE.XML

• C - input file prefix letter
• RECID - the funding year concatenated with 054 (for example: 19054)
• FILETYPE - the file type (for example: code lists)
• XSD - the file format

To import a HESA Verifiers file into ebs:

1. Select the Imports button on the System ribbon.

   

   The Imports screen is displayed.

   

2. Click the Open File button on the Admin Commands ribbon.

   

   TheOpen window is displayed.

3. Select the relevant HESA XSD file, and then click Open.

   

   Note: Code list files can be downloaded from HESA.

   If you have selected an invalid file format, or if your file contains invalid data, an error message is displayed.

   

   If the file is in the correct format, the Imports window is displayed. The number of records to progress is displayed at the top of the window.

4. Select whether to insert new records only and the specific funding year, and then click the Import button to import HESA verifiers.

   

   The Performing Bulk Operation window displays the import progress.

   

   On completion, the Imports window displays the number of records imported.

   

5. Click Re-Import to re-run the process or Cancel to close.
