Full Submission

To create a full LLWR output submission:

  1. Select the Create Submission Files check box.

Output LLWR section - Create Submission Files check box

  2. Select the Full Submission option.

    Full Submission option

  3. In the Return Type field drop-down list, select the required set of LP17 values as configured on the LLWR Defaults screen.
  4. In the Mode field, select the Test or Live option.

When you run an output for the first time, all datasets that do not have the delete flag set are included in the output. Both the test and live return types only include records updated or created since the last live run.

  5. Select the Include where LP17 = null (Test Returns ONLY) check box to specify that learning programmes with a null value in LP17, and the associated activity, award and HE records are processed.

If the LP17 value is changed from null to a given value, after the record has been returned the first time, it will respect the change and send all the previously unsent data from all datasets, regardless of the Cascade updated date from other learner to other datasets institution setting on the LLWR page. A live LLWR output does not output records with a null LP17 value.

Alternatively, records can be included in a LLWR return by updating them. The updated date of any dataset can be viewed in the LLWR wideboys at the end of the record. Any change to the record will amend the updated date to the current date and time (the time is not displayed in the wideboy but is stored in the database).

    Updated Date field

Changes to one dataset will only cascade to other related datasets for the learner if the Cascade updated date from other learner to other datasets institution setting on the LLWR page is set to Y. If this is set to N, only the updated date of the amended dataset is changed, resulting in only changed datasets being included in the next output.
