NSN Reference Data

The NSN functionality uses various elements of the Reference Data module in order to use the different values for the ‘Verified by’ columns for date of birth and residential status of a learner.

These are hard coded in verifiers. Default set of values are:

  • U - Unverified
  • P - Passport
  • B - Birth certificate
  • O - Other

Residential Status (2.12) codes identify if the learner has New Zealand permanent resident status for each enrolment.

Residential Status (2.12) reference data

NSI residential status is mapped to the corresponding values for the SDR Residency (2.12 field) values. This will fulfil both the NSI and SDR requirements.

The Residency field (2.12) value output in an SDR Students File will depend on the value mapped to the selected NSI residential status value for a learner.

The default set of values are:

  • NZ Citizen - residency set to N
  • NZ Permanent Resident - residency set to Y
  • Australian Citizen - residency set to N
  • Overseas - residency set to N
  • Unknown - residency set to N
