CDR Changes for 4.30

The following changes have been made to the CDR module for users with the EBSNICDR licence.

Full release:

Role additions

The ebs: central Validation group has been added.

ebs: central Validation role group

The ebs: central Validation group contains the following new roles.

Role	Allows users to...
Full Validation	Edit local rulesets in Validation Manager.
Validation Superuser	Edit local rulesets in Validation Manager, and to activate or deactivate statutory rulesets.
View Validation	View Validation Manager in read-only mode.

Ability to map progress codes to outcomes

Users can now map progress codes to outcomes using the CDR Yearly Values window in the Reference Data module.

The window is accessed by clicking the new Outcome button on the Admin Commands ribbon on the Progress Codes reference data screen.

The Enrolment option must be selected from the Student Status drop-down list to enable the Outcome button.

2019/20 funding year added

The 2019/20 funding year can now be selected from the Academic Year drop-down on the CDR Processing screen.

Ability to output a live CDR return

The CDR file can now be output for a live return, either by creating a scheduled file generation or by clicking the Run Now button on the CDR Processing screen.

The file is output to the location specified in the CDR Output Path field in the CDR Settings section of ebs options.

The generated file name is formatted as CDR_<COLLREF>_<YYYYMMDD>.csv.

Addition of the Validation screen

The Validation Manager screen has been added, which allows users to manage validation rulesets for the CDR.

The Full Validation, Validation Superuser or View Validation role is required to access the Validation screen.

The screen can be accessed by clicking the Validation Manager button on the System ribbon.

Addition of the Error Surfer

The CDR Error Surfer has been added to the Learner Manager module so that users can manage errors relating to the CDR.

Changes to the Learner History screen

The following fields have been added to the Learner History screen.

Updated Date	The date the data was updated.
Updated By	The user who updated the data.
Effective From	When the change is to be effective from.

New fields on the Learner History screen

The following changes have also been made:

The Updated by User Id field has been removed
The Create Date field is now read-only

CDR web service fields added

The CDR fields from PEOPLE_CDR, PEOPLE_UNITS_CDR and UIO_CDR are available for selection from the Web Service Field in ebs: ontrack Prospect Designer.

Database table changes

The following changes have been made to the ebs database:

The CDR_YEARLY_VERIFIERS table has been added to the database. The structure of the table is described in the following table.

UPDATED_DATE	Y	DATETIME	When the data was updated.
ID	N	NUMBER(10)	A unique sequential generated number.

The following columns have been added to the PEOPLE_CDR_HISTORY table.

Changes have been made to the following verifiers:

RELIGION	The following changes have been made to descriptions: Code '04' = 'Other Religion' Code '05' = 'None'
MARITAL_STATUS	The following change has been made to descriptions: Code 04 - 'Widowed/Surviving civil partner' The following code has been removed: Code '06' - 'In a civil partnership'
SEXUAL_ORIENTATION	Code '05' - 'Other' has been added
ETHNICITY	Code '13' - 'Asian Other' has been added
STUDENT_DISABILITY	The following changes have been made to descriptions: Code '01' = 'A specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia, dyspraxia or AD(H)D' Code '02' = 'Blind or a serious visual impairment uncorrected by glasses' Code '03' = 'Deaf or a serious hearing impairment' Code '04' = 'A physical impairment or mobility issues, such as difficulty using arms or using a wheelchair or crutches' Code '05' = 'A social/communication impairment such as Asperger's syndrome/other autistic spectrum disorder' Code '06' = 'A mental health condition, such as depression, schizophrenia or anxiety disorder' The following codes have been added: Code '11' - 'A long standing illness or health condition such as cancer, HIV, diabetes, chronic heart disease, or epilepsy' Code '12' - 'A disability, impairment or medical condition that is not listed above' Code '97' - 'Not stated - MIS use only not present on form' Code '99' - 'Ticked Yes Disability but Category Not stated - MIS use only not present on form' The following codes have been removed: Code '07' - 'Unseen Disability (diabetes, epilepsy)' Code '10' - 'None'
