The following roles are new for the 4.30 release of ebs.

Role	Allows users to...
NI Full Validation (in the ebs: central Validation group)	Edit local rulesets in Validation Manager.
NI Validation Superuser (in the ebs: central Validation group)	Edit local rulesets in Validation Manager, and to activate or deactivate statutory rulesets.
NI View Validation (in the ebs: central Validation group)	View Validation Manager in read-only mode.

The following institution settings are new for the 4.30 release of ebs.

AFD Phone Validation (Ontrack) (on the AFD screen)	Whether AFD automatically validates phone numbers for  ontrack software. Select from the following: Auto Search - AFD phone validation is automatically run when the user enters a new phone number in ontrack Don't Search - AFD phone validation is not run This is the default setting.
UK GOV.UK Notify API Key (on the SMS (Text Messaging) screen)	The API key for the GOV.UK Notify service. The key is masked on saving.
UK GOV.UK Notify SMS Template ID (on the SMS (Text Messaging) screen)	The SMS Template ID for the GOV.UK Notify service. The ID is masked on saving.
ENG Include 'Unknown Outcome' Learners from the previous year (on the ILR screen)	Whether the Include 'Continuing' Learners check box is selected by default in the Generation panel on the ILR Processing screen.
ENG Include 'Break in Learning' Learners from the previous year (on the ILR screen)	Whether the Include 'Break in Learning' Learners check box is selected by default in the Generation panel on the ILR Processing screen.

The following change has also been made:

UK Users in the United Kingdom can now select GOV.UK Notify SMS Provider Service from the 'SMS provider name' drop-down list on the SMS (Text Messaging) page.

The setup for the GOV.UK Notify SMS provider differs from other providers.

Text messages can now be sent to learners using the GOV.UK Notify service, provided the SMS provider name institution setting (on the SMS (Text Messaging) screen) is set to 'GOV.UK Notify SMS Provider Service'.

• Correspondence Management
• The Send SMS REST service
• The Send SMS workflow activity
