UCAS Changes for 4.45

The following feature changes have been made for 4.45:

  • The integration has been updated in line with the UCAS 2025 application cycle technical briefings.

  • The handling of Withdrawn and Cancelled applications data has been improved. Data is stored in staging tables, along with institution settings for setting the progress code of withdrawn, cancelled and substituted applications.

  • Additional ebs data fields are mapped as part of the import:

    • Date of UK Entry

    • Known As

  • The performance of the import process has been optimised when Tracking is enabled.
  • The integration design has been improved so that using the wrong credentials does not immediately lock the UCAS account.

The following defect fixes have been made for 4.45:

  • Prevent blank UCAS data from overwriting ebs data (e.g. ULN number).

As part of this change, blank UCAS data is now stored as Null values rather than empty strings.

  • Support the download of more than 1000 records in the document literal version of xml-link.

Reminder

As with 4.44, 4.45 contains 2 workflows to support both the original (RPC) version and the new (Doc-lit) version of xml-link. Customers should switch to the new version as soon as possible. UCAS have indicated that 2025 cycle changes will not be deployed to the original (RPC) version. The RPC version of the workflow will be removed in a future ebs release.
