New reference data settings enable staff to mandate learners provide evidence or additional information regarding a planned absence as follows:

When the Evidence required flag is set to Y, in the Absence reasons reference data for the selected absence reason, an asterisk * is present in the Select file button to indicate that the evidence upload is mandatory.
When the Additional Info Required flag is set to Y, in the Absence reasons reference data for the selected absence reason, an asterisk * is present in the Additional information label to indicate that additional information field is required.
