Additional Claim Properties for Microsoft Entra ID

Claim properties might require alteration if the necessary information is not included.

You might have to alter the information that is passed from Microsoft Entra ID if the claim that you want to match on is not included in the token by default.

Refer to Viewing Identity Token contents for more information about how to view the token information that is passed to ebs from Microsoft Entra ID. Refer to Microsoft documentation for full details of properties that are available within Microsoft Entra ID.

To change Microsoft Entra ID claim information in the App Registration menu:

  1. Select Token Configuration.

  2. Select Add optional Claim.

  3. Select an ID Token type.

  4. Select the relevant Claim property name.

Alternatively, the information that is passed across to ebs as part of the authentication process can be adjusted by amending the Manifest file manually:

  1. Access the App Registration menu.

The App Registration menu is displayed.

  2. Select Manifest.

    The Manifest is displayed.

  3. Edit the manifest to include the relevant properties.

It is important that a property is chosen that is not mutable, and particularly, not one that the end user is able to modify. If you do not populate the optional property value nothing will not be passed to ebs.
