Code and Description
Give your Grading Schemes clear descriptions to make it easier to choose the correct one for each assessment.
It is advisable to have reusable grading schemes that can be applied to many courses and assessments. This makes it easier to find and apply grading schemes.
Scheme Type and Sub Type
For each grading scheme you need to select a scheme type and sub type. This combination determines the type of grades that are entered into the markbook, ex. a number or a letter grade. You can then further customise each grading scheme to determine which marks are passing, if they equate to a specific grade or it is the final grade.

Check boxes - Allow Floodfill, Exclude Grade From Award Calculation, Active
Not all check boxes are available for all scheme types. When available the options are as follows:

Allow Floodfill - If selected tutors can use floodfill to quickly complete the same score for all learners at once.

Exclude Grade from Award Calculation - If selected the grade will not contribute towards the calculation of an award.

Active - If selected the grading scheme can be applied to an assessment.
